Jr. Software Developer - Hiring

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team here at Deep Reef. Based in Colorado, you will be able to perform this role fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting Warehouse Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Ecommerce-related software projects, contribute to innovative solutions, and enhance your technical skills in a collaborative environment. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications while gaining hands-on experience with various technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement software solutions that meet project requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable code using languages such as Go, Java, Python, and JavaScript (depending on the project).
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Assist in the development of database schemas and queries using SQL and MongoDB.
• Support the integration of APIs and services using technologies like AWS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues as they arise.
• Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with database management systems including SQL and MongoDB.
• Understanding of web services and protocols (WCF, SSIS).
• Experience with JSON/XML for data interchange is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
